In recent years the Mexican population has increased year after year and this 2022 has not been the exception.
This is the fourth edition that we carry out on the number of Mexicans living in Poland, in 2018 there were only 463 Mexicans in this European country, and in 2021 the number increased to 724 Mexicans. If you are interested in reading the previous articles, you can do so at the following links:
Statistics of Foreigners Living in Poland 2022
In order to understand the number of Mexicans residing in Poland, we need to know the general picture of foreigners residing in this country.
According to the official Polish migration site ( migracje.gov.pl ) there are 650,616* foreigners living in Poland:
- 58.6% of foreigners are from Ukraine (381,687 people)
- 9.13% of foreigners are from Belarus (59,447 people)
- 2.8% of foreigners are from Germany (18,157 people)
Some other interesting facts about foreigners residing in this country:
- 60.20% are men and 39.8% are women
- The average age of foreigners is 34 years
- The most popular age range of foreigners living in Poland is between 20 and 39 years old, which represents 53.49% of all foreigners living in Poland.
- 25.29% of foreigners have their temporary or permanent residence in the Mazowieckie region
- The Świętokrzyskie region is where there are fewer foreigners living, they represent 1.06% of the total population of foreigners (6,934 people)
* Only foreigners who have a temporary or permanent legal stay in Poland are considered, they are not considered tourists, or people who live without any type of legal permission to stay in Poland.
Statistics of Mexicans Living in Poland 2022
In the case of our nationals, in this 2022 there are 853* Mexicans living in Poland. In the last 11 years, the Mexican population in this country has practically tripled. In 2010 there were only 245* Mexicans residing in Poland.
The number of Mexicans living in Poland only represents 0.13% of the total population of foreigners in Poland.
Comparing with the year 2021, the Mexican population in this country increased by 17.81%. In 2021 there were only 724* Mexicans living in Poland.
* Only Mexicans who have a temporary or permanent legal stay in Poland are considered, tourists or people who live without any type of legal permission to stay in Poland are not considered.
Type of Permits of Mexicans residing in Poland
Of the 853 Mexicans living in Poland, the types of residence permits for Mexicans legally residing in the country are as follows:
- Temporary residence: 628
- Permanent residence: 190
- Long-term residence in the European Union: 19
- Residence for being a family member of a member of the European Union: 16
The number of Mexicans with some type of permanent residence increased by 9.82% compared to 2021.
Demographics of Mexicans living in Poland
Of the 853 Mexicans living in Poland, these are the demographic data:
Sex:
- 66.8% are men (570)
- 33.2% are women (283)
Age:
- The average age of a Mexican living in Poland is 33 years
- The most popular age range is between 20 and 39 years old ( 595 people )
- There are 14 Mexicans who are between 60 and 79 years old
- There are 52 young people (under 20 years old) residing in this country
- There are 191 Mexicans between 40 and 59 years old
- There is 1 Mexican over 80 years old living in this country
Regions where Mexicans live in Poland
Poland is divided into a total of 16 regions ( Województwa ) which allows us to understand a little about the distribution of Mexicans in this country. The trend is that the majority of Mexicans in Poland reside in the regions where the most populated cities in Poland are located: Warsaw and Krakow.
- Of the 16 regions in Poland, in 14 of them the number of Mexican men is greater than the number of Mexican women.
- There are no Mexican women living in the W armińsko – mazurskie region
- Only in the Świętokrzyskie region ( Kielce is the capital of this region) and Opolskie (Opole is the capital of this region) are there more Mexican women than Mexican men.
The three most popular regions among Mexicans
The first region where more Mexicans live is Mazowiecki ( Warsaw is the capital of this region) with a total of 259 Mexicans :
- 69% are men (178)
- 31% are women (81)
- The most popular age range in this region is 20 to 39 years old. (179 people)
- 69.5% of Mexicans (180 people) have temporary residence
- 66 Mexicans have permanent residence
- There are 12 young people (under 20 years old) residing in this region
The second region where more Mexicans live is Małopolski ( Krakow is the capital of this region) with a total of 213 Mexicans :
- 67.1% are men (143)
- 32.9% are women (70)
- The most popular age range in this region is 20 to 39 years old. (151 people)
- 81% of Mexicans (172 people) have temporary residence
- 33 Mexicans have permanent residence
- There are 17 young people (under 20 years old) residing in this region
The third region where more Mexicans live is Wielkopolski ( Poznań is the capital of this region) with a total of 65 Mexicans . This changed from last year, as in 2021 the Dolnośląskie region ( Wrocław is the capital of this region) had a total of 48 Mexicans making it the third most popular region among Mexicans to live. This year only 61 Mexicans reside in that region.
The least popular Polish regions where Mexicans live
- Warmińsko-mazurskie ( Olsztyn is the capital of this region): there are only 4 Mexicans living in this region: 4 men and 0 women
- Świętokrzyskie ( Kielce is the capital of this region): there are only 3 Mexicans living in this region: 2 women and 1 man
- Opolskie (Opole is the capital of this region): there are only 8 Mexicans living in this region: 6 women and 2 men
