Starting this year, Polish government has introduced a partial shopping ban on Sundays. However, the new law will be enforced gradually. This Sunday, on March 11, the shops will be closed for the first time.

What does it mean in practice? Most of the Polish stores will be closed, including those in large shopping centers. Only bakeries, gas/petrol stations, florists, post offices, train stations and airports will be exempt from the ban. Also, owners of smaller shops will be able to open them, but only if they serve customers themselves.
