In the following weeks Poland will be hosting two important worldwide event: the NATO convention and the World Youth Day. This is why the government has been putting a lot of effort to keep the country safe during those events.

If you are planning to visit Poland in the following days, you will need to take your passport (non-EU residents) or National ID (EU residents) with you. This is because Poland temporarily restored border checks with its EU neighbours, which means that there will be controls at all the borders when entering or leaving Poland.
When? – from the 4th of July till the 2nd of August 🙂
Do not be surprised if the controls at the airports or train stations are a little bit more intense, authorities just do their job.
A joke for you: if you have a dark skin (like me), you can expect a lot of ‘random’ controls at the borders ?
